Relaxation
___________________________
You know it's really a shame. She's all this beautiful woman in this cold little package. But I'd never tell her. She'd probably take it wrong.
I see her over there sitting by herself, working on something or other. She's off shift because the Doc told the Captain she was working to hard.
Yet she's still working.
Someone should teach her to have fun. Maybe me.
"Hey Seven"
"Hello Lt. Torres. How may I assist you?"
Her voice is a cool monotone. Nothing new.
"You could accompany me to Holodeck 2"
She looks at me strangely.
Okay, okay, so we usually don't get along, let alone socialize. But there's something about her today that I just can't ignore.
"Is there an Engineering problem you need assistance with Lt.?"
She's so polite sometimes it's disgusting, and endearing. But you didn't hear that from me.
"No. Something else" I rest my hand on her shoulder "It won't take long"
She rises on those amazingly long shapely legs... "ahem" sorry sometimes I get carried away.
She rose and followed me from the Mess Hall.

Holodeck 2
--------------------
"What are we simulating Lt.?" she's standing as she always does. At a firm attention.
"Seven your off duelaxelax" I know she won't listen.
Her shoulders slump and to my surprise "I do not know how Lt."
An evil smile graces my face "I'll be happy to teach you"
Hey I'm a Klingon not a saint.
She clasps her hands behind her back "Proceed"
"Okay first things first. Lose the military shit. This is Annika time now. Your not Seven of Nine Tertiary whatver. Your Annika Hansen, and your going to relax"
"Understood"
She takes everything like a direct order from Janeway. I wonder if she's the same in bed.
Far from sainthood.
"We'rnna nna start by getting you out of those clothes"
_____________________
I dressed her in some slacks and a nice blouse. Something blue and nuetral, but I made sure it brought out her eyes.
"Your lovely Annika"
She actually blushed at the compliment "Thank you Lt."
"B'Elanna" I corrected "Lanna if you wanna make me smile"
Okay yeah I was flirting shamelessly. But come on. She's one fine woman. Even with that cool borg exterior.
"Now all you need is somewhere nice to relax in. Computer, clear template, unfurnished living room in a 21st century home"
It took mere seconds for the bare holodeck to become a room with clean white walls and a window that looked out into...nothing.
"What would you like your view to be?"
I turned to find her studying the room.
"View?"
"What you see when you look outside your window"
Her face lit with understanding. God she's beautiful.
"A star scape would not be fitting. Would a yard with perhaps a small dog suffice?"
"It's your view Annika"
"Then that's what I would prefer Lanna"
I like the sound of my name when it rolls off her tongue.
"Set it"
"Computer. Create outside view of a yard, standard sized for this ers, with a small canine entity"
~Please select breed~
"I do not know what breed" she turned to me looking nervous.
"Cocker Spaniel" I recommended.
There was a sudden yapping outside the room.
"What are you gonna name it?"
"Name? The canine?" She seemed genuinely confused by this.
"Yes. Us humanoid life forms have these crazy notions of naming what belongs to us"
She shrugged "Is the canine male or female?"
I shrugged back "Up to you"
"Female, and her name is.." she paused for a moment "Red Fox"
"Red Fox? Odd, but okay" I smile reassuringly "I like it"
"Thank you Lt- uh Lanna"
She was quick to correct herself before I could.
"Now for furniture" I clapped my hands together.
"I'd prefer not to clutter the space of this domicile"
"It's a living room Annika is supposed to be cluttered"
"I was unawayre of that" I could tell she was adding to her mental database.
"Now furniture. What's your favorite color?"
"I do not know"
"We'll stick with earth tones then"
I cross to a console and she follows me. I can feel the long warmth of her when she stops close behind me, looking over my shoulder at what I'm pulling up.
"See anything you like?"
She points at a particularly servicable couch.
"This one, but tht this color"
"What color then?"
She points to another, a K col colored chair.
"This is preferable"
I set the perameters and the couch appears.
"I would like it up against that far wall" she points.
I follow the graceful line of her arm, down to her finger tips. Such elegant hands, and long fingers, long 'nimble' fingers.
Bad Lanna.
I transfer teh couch to her specifications.
"Perhaps a matching chair in the corner?" she points again "This one same color"
It appears. So does her smile.
"You should do that more often"
"Do what Lanna?"
"Smile. It softens your face. You really are a very attractive woman"
"No more so than you Lanna"
She said that so softly I nearly missed it.
"Thank you Annika"
"Just stating a known fact"
She's avoiding it. The humaness of seeing beauty. I'll have to rectify that.
"End and coffee tables"
I pulled up the list.
"I prefer this printed on for the coffee table as it is. Place it infront of the 'couch'"
She pronounces the word like it's foreign.
"This end table is asthectically pleasing. But I would prefer a darker stained wood"
I look for a darker wood. She smiles when I find it.
"this one will do"
I add it on. She's right it fits nicely with the color scheme.
"Wow Annika you have an eye for decor"
"There is a semblance in the colors sub-optical equations. They often define which colors match and which do not"
"Oh I didn't know that"
I really didn't. Not that I really wanted to. But she'd said it in the voice that wasn't the bored borg monotone.
"Is there anything else Lanna?"
She's more relaxed now. She's instinctually cocking a hip and leaning over the console. It's like she's become more human before my eyes.
"Drapes, and the usually wall converings. Paintings, pictures, tapestries, that kinda stuff"
"Then let's look at that 'stuff' shall we?"
I smile and chuckle when I hear the excited yipping from outside.
She walks to her window and looks out.
"The canine-"
"She has a name call her by it" I interrupt. I just hope it didn't come out sound challenging.
"You are right Lanna. Red Fox and chasing a 'squirrel' I believe it's called. The 'squirrel' is effectively avoiding her"
"More power to the squirrel"
"Indeed" she turns back to me and I see a smirk on her face "I believe some type of print to pick up that which is on the table shall do"
"Something tribal or just a simple print?"
"Tribal, African perhaps"
I pulled them up. She comes close to look them over. But this time she's actually leaning 'on' the console, and that smirk is still present.
I could feel my heart beats quicken, and if I could feel it, she could 'hear' it. So I tried to calm down. I thought I escaped her notice when..
"I believe I like this one" she pointed to a particularly beautiful one. It had an attractive swirl and straight line design on it. But when I looked closer I realized what those lines made.
"It's a woman!" I nearly yelled it. Hey I was surprised.
"Women actually" she traced several lines with her borg enhanced finger and I saw exactly what she was talking about.
There were several women on it. All entwined in a heated embrace. The swirls and textures that made up their faces showed them in the heat of passion.
"You have really good taste Annika" I muttered as I 'hung' the drapes.
"Thank you Lanna"
After that she went to choosing wall coverings.
We went through Rockwell paintings, family portraits, almost everything but the kitchen sink.
It gave me a chance to cool down from the drape incident. Unfortunately they were never far from my mind as an artificial breeze kept moving them.
"I believe I like it this way"
Annika lay her hand over mine.
"Come let us look at what I have created"
I allowed her to lead me. Checking the room from many angles.
No matter where we looked from or how we looked. It appeared tastefully done. ulliulling me along with her she sat on the couch.
"It is soft yet firm. I like this"
She moved left and right situating herself on the couch and pulled me next to her.
"Thank you for teaching me to relax Lanna. It's high appreciated"
"My pleasure"
It really was. We'd been in the Holodeck for a few hours and had yet to chew each others head off.
"Now I wish to repay they favor"
"What do you mean by-"
I never finished the sentence.
She was kissing me too deeply.
