Little Surprises
Part 1
Lionel couldn’t believe what he held in his hands. What on earth was Jean doing with such a thing…and how had it wound up in the attic among some of Judy’s old toys?
Turning the object over in his hands, a wicked grin slowly crept onto his face as an idea began to form in his mind. “Perhaps, I shall have a little fun. After all…we’ll be in the country for the weekend…alone.” He whispered into the stuffy air around him.
Digging around some more, he found a few other interesting items and decided to add them to the little black bag he’d found sitting in the corner. This weekend was sure to be a memorable one as well as an enjoyable one.
Meanwhile…
Jean bit her bottom lip as she stared at herself in the mirror. Could she really pull this off? It was very sexy, and just what she’d had in mind, but…she frowned. “I’m too old for this.” She mumbled to herself as she turned around, looking at herself from the side…a sudden image of Lionel’s reaction making her legs feel like jelly and her center grow wet with anticipation.
“To hell with it.” She mumbled before stripping the outfit off and dressing again in her proper business suit. Her mind was made up…she didn’t care what the clerk thought or anyone else for that matter. The only opinion that mattered was Lionel’s, and Jean knew exactly what that opinion would be. Another shiver tickled down her spine and her breath hitched.
“I have to get out of here.” She breathed as she gathered the outfit and unlocked the door of the dressing room.
Scowling at the clerk after receiving a disapproving look, Jean handed the now shaken woman her credit card and tapped her fingernails against the counter as she waited impatiently for the transaction to be completed. She had another couple of stops she wanted to make before going home to pack.

An hour later, Jean was carefully checking the house to make sure Lionel wasn’t lurking about. Satisfied that he wasn’t downstairs, she hurried up the stairs hoping that he wasn’t in their bedroom.
Sighing in relief when she found their bedroom empty, Jean rolled her eyes when she noticed her suitcase sitting open on the bed. She couldn’t help but chuckle, though, because in his own way…Lionel had just helped her out.
“Oh won’t he be surprised.” She smiled as she put her new purchases into the case, not bothering to remove the tags.
Lionel heard the front door open and then footsteps on the stairs and knew that Jean was home. Thankful that he had already hidden the little black bag among his clothes in his already packed suitcase, he finished what he’d been doing in the attic and made his way back down to their bedroom.
“Jean?”
“In here, Love.” She called as she hurriedly placed several things into her suitcase to hide Lionel’s surprises.
“How’s the packing coming?”
“I shan’t be long. Have you got everything?”
“Everything is packed and in the car.”
“Ever the efficient one.”
“Someone has to be.” Lionel grumbled trying not to smirk at the look he knew she was giving him.
“I’ll not grace that comment with a remark.” Jean glared at him. “What were you doing in the attic?”
“Just filling some time and trying to straighten the dusty place up a bit.”
She smiled. “I promise I won’t be long. I only have a few other things to pack and then I want to change my clothes.”
“Alright. I’ll go make some tea. A steaming hot cup will be nice before we head out.”
“Yes, it will.” She smiled at him when he stepped closer to her and kissed her softly.
