Lost and Found2

Fandom: Smallville
Story: Lost and Found
Chapter: 1/?
Author: Bllue -aka- The Last Kitten
Rating: PG-13 (For right now!)
Paring: Lex/OMC (Eventually Clex)
Disclaimer: I don't own anything affiliated with Smallville and I am
making no money off of this story. I merely like to stretch my tattered
wings every once in a while. If you sue me I will eat your heart out of
your chest while the Smallville cast and your Law firm watch. o_O *twitches*
^_^ Have a nice read.
Author's Note: My Marry Sue started yelling at me about a year ago, and wouldn’t relent until I wrote a Smallville fan fic. Eventually I sat down, ignored my ten-page paper, and began to write this fic. Unfortunately I stopped, even though several of my friends bugged me to keep on going. I had all these ideas and scenarios for the story but none of them seemed to work. They just didn’t fit. Then the light bulb finally came on. The voice hidden behind my Marry Sue was male. Duh! :p After that little change everything fit. So here it is.
Author’s Note 2: When one wants to write them self in to a story, a neat and concrete way to do so is to be affiliated with one of the characters, specifically a family member. Now, the only character I could easily and legitimately be a kin to is Pete. (Puts fist up in the air.) Anyway, my Mary Sue is Pete’s older brother Hephaistion. Hephaistion is Alexander's “Destiny Guardian”. (Sort of like a Guardian Angel.) He (Or should I say we! *Winks*) isn’t new to the job but something has gone wrong and he is being watched by the older guardians. The story is set before Lex is sent to the Mental Hospital, but after Clark has come back to Smallville from his summer “vacation”. Hephaistion went to boarding school with Lex and then Metropolis University, so he could keep an eye on him. They were separated before Lex was sent to Smallville. I made Hephaistion a super genius because realistically being a higher being he would pretty much know everything already. He would have been there when history was being lived and written… so… yea.
Author’s Note 3: The concept of a Destiny Guardian is mine. Please! Please! Ask me if you want to borrow the concept and or Hephaistion. I really don’t need any more stress. My punching bag can’t take it. *__*
WARNING : This story will eventually include the following: Lemon, BDSM, BP, Fet, Oral, eventual MPreg, Rim, Solo, VS, Toys, child abuse, attempted rape, actual rape, bloody death, etc, etc, etc…. (See story codes for meanings.) Don’t start reading this chapter if you plan to finish this story.
Warning 2: There will be romance. I don’t know where this romantic streak is coming from, seeing as how most of the time I despise romance, but it will be in there.
*Last but not least. I’d like to give a big smack on the back to my Beta, The Mad Scientist. We actually didn’t fight as much when editing this. *
“______” Means little green men are talking to you.
‘______’ Means little green men are thinking about you.

“What do you want from him?”
“Nothing.”
“You’re lying.”
“I don’t lie.”
“You do now….”
“I don’t want anything. I just…”
“You just… want. You can’t want. You can’t dream. You can’t love. You weren’t meant to…”
He was pacing back and forth in front of the mirror avoiding the delicate girl’s soft pleading eyes. His eyes were angry and his face was tight.
“Don’t you mean we? We weren’t meant to. We aren’t aloud to.”
The slight girl hesitated and looked down, “…Yes, and when you do, you compromise him. You compromise his entire future, his destiny.” She raised her large brown eyes and slid long smooth fingers across his cheek. “You compromise us”, she whispered softly. “Do you wish for us to be seen…,” she took a breath and looked him in the eye. “Seen for what we really are?”
He didn’t know what to say and he looked at his feet. To want, to dream, to love, to feel… anything is not only forbidden to his people it is biologically impossible when they take shape. He simply shouldn’t be able to do it. It’s an anomaly that could prove disastrous for their mission and their people.
“Hephaistion…,” she slipped a finger under his chin and looked in to his eyes. “I know what you feel. Remember, I feel it too. I don’t like it. It challenges our good judgment and that is dangerous… for everyone.” She explained with her arms and took an exaggerated look around. “Our human family as well as Alexander, not to mention the rest of the world, and the universe, and the….”
“I get it!” Hephaistion’s hands were clenched in fists at his sides and he squeezed his eyes shut. “I get it”, he said softer, “I get it”.
He could feel her soft hands on his cheeks. “Please don’t sound so defeated. You are a Destiny Guardian. It is an honor to bare this. I’ll speak to Abraym and Aamon, they will know what to do.” She leaned in and they rested their foreheads together. “In the mean time be calm and remember what you are here to do.” Her voice was so soft she could see Hephaistion visibly calm.
She slowly released his face and her form began to fade but it sharply came back into focus.
“Hephaistion, I know I don’t have to tell you not to tell Alexander about us. You know what it would do to him, and you have a pretty good idea of what he might try to do to you.” Her eyes narrowed, “He is unstable, and he will only be pushed too far, too fast should you reveal yourself to him. I know it’s what he’s asking for but we both know that humans never really want to know the truth. Not about things like this.” With the last sentence, her eyes gentled and she smiled sadly at him.
The tall boy nodded solemnly causing his dreds to shake slightly. The girl fixed bright blue green eyes on him, instantly angry.
“I know when you’re lying to me Hephaistion! You can’t lie to yourself!” Her eyes were small with anger, “you know what will happen if you concede the truth to him. If we truly loved him as you claim, you would hold your tongue.” Her voice was hard and raised as she turned and disappeared.
Hephaistion clamped his hands to the sides of his head. The headache was getting worse. He squeezed his eyes shut tight and rubbed his temples. He turned away from the mirror and walked over to his bed sprawling out on his back. It was times like these that he wished he could cry. Maybe the headaches wouldn’t be so bad if he could let the emotion out. He glanced over at the forgotten plane tickets to Smallville. They still lay on the floor near his cat’s bed. Shadows began to play against the wall as the sun died and the cats rolled over lazily in their mound of soft blankets.
“You know Heph, I was really looking forward to chasing some field mice.” The cats blinked and all three stood in unison to stretch. They padded over to the large bed and hopped up effortlessly. They padded their way over to Hephaistion and made a new bed along his torso. “We know you’re still going to go, and you know that they’re still watching you.” There was silence looming throughout the room. The cats opened their eyes, observing Hephaistion staring at the ceiling.
“Nekhebet, Uadjet, Sekhme?” Hephaistion’s voice was soft. “Do you really think he’ll want to see me? It’s been six years. Do you think he still lov….”
“Of course he does!” Nekhebet’s eyes were wide. ‘How could he think that Alexander wouldn’t still love him after all they went through together?’
‘Wait sister, what about the assignment? That boy…Kal El.’ Uadjet looked at her sister with concern.
‘She has a point,’ Sekhme chimed in, ‘we shouldn’t get his hopes up. Alexander won’t want him the way he did. By now he’s already met the Kent boy and fallen head over….’
“Ahem!” Hephaistion cleared his throat and the cats turned large confused eyes on him.
‘I can hear you. Even if I weren’t sitting right here, when you use telepathy I can hear you.’
The cats let out a few nervous little laughs and purred as if they hadn’t just been speaking perfect English. Hephaistion sat up abruptly, effectively startling the cats and sending them flying off the bed. They landed on their feet of course but in three separate corners of the room.
“Don’t forget to pack the catnip girls. We’re on our way to Smallville!”
‘Ma'at is gonna be so mad,’ Sekhme thought.
‘Who cares? We’re going to Smallville! Those field mice better watch their backs.’ Nekhebet began hopping around the room practicing for the field mice and Uadjet pounced on her back. They rolled together on the hard wood floor as Hephaistion and Sekhme stepped out on to the balcony.
“Are you sure you want to do this Heph? It’s been a long time and you know your assignment…your duty to that boy. What happened to Alexander was fate. Had it not been you it would have been Ma’at… or some other Guardian. You can’t “save” him.”
“Ma’at just doesn’t understand. I mean I know she feels this. Why won’t she…. I don’t know. All I know is that I’ve …lost something.”
