Ensign Sarah Miller stepped onto the transporter pad. "Come on, Malcolm. We're going to be late."

Lieutenant Reed grabbed his case and jumped up on the transporter. "We still have an hour," he said, shaking his head.

"I wanted to look around a little before the conference."

"Look around at what? It's nothing but desert down there."

"Culture, Malcolm. Have you ever heard of it?"

Reed smiled, and cocked his head. "What's that?"

Miller giggled and looked to Hoshi. "Energize."

"See you guys later," she said, pressing the buttons to start the transporter.

Sarah took a deep breath as the room around her fuzzed away. Several seconds later, when she reappeared on the same platform, she soured her face. "What happened?" she asked.

Hoshi Sato looked up from her station. "Shit," she mumbled, pressing at the controls.

Malcolm looked at Sarah with amusement. "Never heard her swear before," he whispered.

Reed and Miller stepped off the platform, planning on helping with whatever was wrong. Malcolm stood beside Hoshi and leaned over.

"Get out of my way," she snapped. Malcolm jerked back, surprised.

Sarah looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you alright, Hoshi?" she asked.

"This fucking thing," she said, kicking the console, "I swear to God it hates me."

Sarah smiled in worry. She looked at Malcolm. He was still standing back, unnerved by Hoshi's reaction to him.

"So, uhm, can you send us down to the conference now?" asked Sarah, anxious to get going.

Ensign Sato whipped her head around. She glanced back and forth at Miller and Reed. "Conference?" she said, confused.

Malcolm looked frustrated. "We're supposed to be at a Laurelian conference for interspecies conflict," he said, concerned that she didn't remember.

Hoshi blinked in annoyance. "You two were supposed to be going to a defense training session on the Ellox Space Station. Does the Captain know you were leaving for a conference instead?"

Sarah shook her head. "What are you talking about?"

Just then a voice came over the comm. "Tucker to Sato"

Hoshi sighed and hit the comm button. "Sato here. What do you want?"

"We're gettin' some strange readings down here in Engineering. You havin' any problems with the transporter?"

Ensign Sato licked her lips. "Yeah, a little. We had a bit of a problem with it just a second ago."

The three of them could hear Commander Tucker grumbling on the other end of the comm. "We keep getting readings of some sort of temporal thing. Has anything changed up there?"

Hoshi looked at the duo with suspicion. "Reed and Miller are acting a little odd."

Sarah looked at Malcolm, concern lacing her eyes. Something was definitely not right here.

"I'll be right up to take some readings. You keep those two there. Tucker out."

Neither of them noticed Hoshi pull a phaser from the side of the controls. They both backed off slightly when she pointed it at them.

"What are you doing?" asked Malcolm, clearly unsure about what was going on.

"I'm keeping you here. Don't move. I won't hesitate to blow your head off," said Hoshi, a little too calmly.

Sarah stared in wide-eyed shock at the Ensign. She shared a look with Malcolm. Neither of them had any clue as to what was going on.

*

Commander Tucker sauntered into the Transporter Room, a dour look on his face. He barely glanced at the duo before running some sort of scanner over them.

Malcolm and Sarah stood silently as Trip ran his scans. Ensign Miller felt nervous as the Commander frowned at the readings.

He sighed and hit the comm button. "Tucker to Archer"

"Archer here"

Trip licked his lips and glared at Reed and Miller. "Looks like we got ourselves some visitors from another time, Cap'n."

"What?" said Malcolm, annoyed. "What are you talking about?"

Trip pursed his lips, anger flickering over his eyes. Archer grumbled on the other end of the comm.

"Bring them to my ready room, Trip. Archer out"

Tucker smirked and grabbed the phaser from a glaring Hoshi. "Let's go," he said, waving the weapon.

Malcolm sighed and headed out the door, followed close by Sarah. The look on Trip's face didn't make them feel any better about what was going on.

*

Sarah looked around at the Bridge as Tucker rang the chime on the Captain's door. Everyone's face was so familiar, yet each person wore an expression of hostility. It was very unsettling.

"Come in," came the reply from inside the room. Trip hit the button and pushed Malcolm through the opening. Sarah followed reluctantly.

Tucker threw a PADD on the Captain's desk. "That's all the info I could get," he said, still pointing the phaser at Reed and Miller. "Seems some sorta transporter malfunction caused us to switch crewmen with some other ship in another timeframe."

Archer did not look amused. "Gibberish, Tucker. What's it all mean?" He glared at the duo, letting his eyes settle on Sarah. She shifted uncomfortably.

Tucker shook his head in annoyance. "I don't know what it means," he said. "Get T'Pol to figure it out."

The Captain clenched his jaw and threw the PADD at the Commander. Tucker jerked back, shielding himself from the flying instrument.

"I want you to go to Engineering and figure out how to get our people back," growled Archer. At Tucker's hesitance, he quickly rose up from his chair. "Now!"

Trip heaved out a breath and glared at Malcolm once more before grabbing the PADD and stomping out the door.

Captain Archer turned to the people in front of him. "You two are going to be put under surveillance until we get this fixed," he said, grabbing a phaser from his desk.

Reed glared at him. "With all do respect, we aren't criminals. Maybe we can help fix whatever happened."

Archer squinted his eyes at the Lieutenant. "That won't be necessary," he said, before hitting a button his desk. To Sarah's dismay, two large security officers walked into the room.

"Take them to separate quarters. And guard them," said the Captain, sitting back down in his chair.

The officers pointed weapons in the duo's direction. "Let's move," one said. Sarah and Malcolm left the ready room, unsure of what they could do.

*

Sarah paced her room, kicking at the floor. It had been at least a few hours since the security officers had thrown Malcolm and her into separate quarters. She had checked over everything, but each computer was locked out. The door was locked. Even the replicator wouldn't work.

She licked her lips and flopped down on the couch. Crossing her arms, she sighed as loudly as she could. She couldn't believe what had happened. It didn't even seem possible. And this crew...well, they weren't exactly friendly. The Captain gave her the creeps.

She folded her legs into her lap, hoping that her Enterprise realized what had happened. Most likely they would have received this universe's Reed and Miller. They'd quickly notice the differences.

She swallowed. She hoped they'd notice the differences.

Hearing noises outside the door, Sarah rose to her feet. She stood tensely as Captain Archer entered the room.

"Ensign Miller," he said, walking forward. He looked her up and down, an act that made Sarah quite nervous. "We've looked into what happened, and think we may be able to send you and Lieutenant Reed home."

Sarah allowed a smile to crack her features. "That's great, sir."

"Mmmmm..yes," he said, stopping about a foot away from Sarah. "You know, you've always been one of my favourites...I mean, my Ensign Miller has." He paused at her confused stare. "However, there are still some rules aboard a starship that the crew has to adhere to. One of them is no personal relationships. At least, none that aren't requited."

He reached up and ran his finger down her cheek. Sarah shivered at the contact, too stunned to pull away.

Archer jerked his hand away from her face. "Those rules stopped me from getting what I want." He shook his head and smile. "Imagine my surprise when you showed up on my doorstep."

Sarah's eyes widened. She raised her hands up and stepped back. "Captain, I don't know what you're suggesting, but..." He cut her off with a hand to her mouth.

"The first thing you should learn is never talk back to your Captain. Got it?"

Sarah swallowed and nodded her head. The look in Archer's eyes scared her. She wasn't used to seeing him like this. The Jonathan Archer she knew was caring and gentle. This man had a violent edge.

The Captain pulled his fingers from her lips and crossed his arms. "You know, hon, you're a lot different than your double. She's tough, strong," he smiled, "You're not."

Sarah's heart skipped at beat at his words. "Please," she said, shaking her head, "Don't do this."

Archer laughed lightly. "I don't think you understand this universe very well. This is just the way things work."

The Captain grabbed her wrist tightly. Sarah yanked back and then froze, shocked by Archer's angry face.

"We can do this the hard way, Ensign," he growled. "That's fine by me. Though it may be a little painful on your end."

Sarah's eyes began to water. She couldn't believe what was happening. "Please don't hurt me," she whispered.

Archer smiled and touched her face with his other hand. "I don't want to hurt you, baby," he said, "But I will if I have to."

She whimpered as he pulled her along behind him, obviously heading towards the bedroom. Sarah couldn't help but pull back, deeply frightened at what he was going to do to her.

He threw her on the bed when the entered the room. Sarah jerked upright and backed up against the wall. She began to tremble as the Captain slipped off his uniform jacket.

"Either you take off those clothes," he said, unbuttoning his shirt, "Or I'll come over there and rip them off."

Sarah could barely breathe at his words. This has to be a nightmare, she thought, shaking.

She snapped back into reality when Archer yelled. "Are you listening to me?" he growled, throwing his shirt at her. "Get those clothes off!"

Sarah slowly inched up on the bed, fumbling with her jacket. She began to cry realizing that her fingers were too numb to remove anything. She stopped and covered her face with her hands.

The next thing she felt was Archer's rough hands on her arms. She yelped as he yanked her up and threw her down on the bed again. She tried twisting around, but he held her down. He straddled her and began running his hands along her body.

She reacted by grabbing at his hands. He quickly hit her across the face, and she gasped. Archer pulled her jacket and shirt off, and Sarah did nothing but lie there, realizing that this was no dream.

"I've been thinking about this for a long time," he said, undoing her pants. Sarah whimpered and grasped the bed sheets, afraid of fighting back. He was much stronger than she was, and even if she escaped, she had no place to go.

She swallowed as he pulled her pants off, then yanked off his immediately after. She looked at the ceiling, not wanting to see what was happening.

When he crawled back on top of her, she could feel that he was naked. "That Miller bitch wasn't nearly as hot as you are," he said, dropping his mouth to her throat. Sarah tensed as he began sucking on her neck, bruising the sensitive skin. His large hands roamed over her body, touching every inch of skin.

His aroma filled her senses. He smelled of smoke and engine oil, and it made her dizzy. She barely noticed when he broke contact with her throat and plunged his lips onto her own.

Sarah whimpered as his tongue darted into her mouth. He was rough and forceful, his hands grasping at her body.

She jerked as his hands pulled her bra off. She tried to cover herself, but he grabbed her arms and pinned them down. "Don't make me tie you up," he warned, kissing at her collarbone. He trailed his mouth down to her breasts and sucked hotly. Sarah clenched her jaw, praying for a quick end to this.

He let go of her sore arms as he moved down her body. He gripped her panties and pulled them off, and Sarah shuddered in silence. Every nerve in her body told her to run, but she knew better. She wouldn't be able to get away from him.

Archer crawled back over top of her. "You are beautiful," he mumbled, a pleased smile on his face.

"Why are you doing this?" whispered Sarah, afraid of what was coming.

She jumped in fear when Archer laughed. "Don't ask stupid questions," he said. "Just lie there like you're supposed to." He kissed her again and grabbed at her hip, digging his nails into her skin.

Archer shifted, and Sarah cried out as he forced his member roughly into her body. "That's it, baby," he growled, pushing as far as he could go. "Take it like the whore you are."

Sarah writhed beneath him, the burning between her legs increasing as he pumped. Archer moaned with every push, gripping at her hips. He pulled her up against him, trying to force himself deep inside her.

She grabbed at the sheets, drawing all her pain into her hands and through her fingers. She shut her eyes tightly, not wanting to see his lustful face over hers. She couldn't help but smell the sweat of his body as he moved over her.

"So fuckin' good," he mumbled, his voice strained with pleasure. She could feel his hot breath over her neck as he thrust into her over and over, forcing himself further each time.

Throughout the whole ordeal, images of her universe's Captain Archer tumbled through her mind. She wanted to be there, now. She knew he would never be capable of something so terrible. Tears streamed from her eyes as she held on to that.

"Here it comes, baby," he growled, tightening in her body and tearing her back to reality. Sarah whimpered as she felt his release coming, and gripped the sheets harder. He jerked into her hips and collapsed his face on her neck, groaning as the pleasure overcame him.

He heaved a breath and ran his hands over her body, squeezing her breasts gratefully. "Amazing," he smiled, kissing her on the lips. "You are one good fuck."

Sarah laid silently in shock as Archer got up and dressed himself. "I'll get someone to bring you some food. You deserve it." He smirked and left the room.

Sarah waited, not moving, till she heard Archer leave the quarters. She stared up, her body still pulsating from what had occured. Her face crumbled as the reality of what had happened set in. She turned on her side and held herself, and cried into the pillows.

*

Sarah awoke to a rough push. She forced her eyes open, and found herself looking at a security officer.

"Get dressed," he ordered.

Sarah got up as he stepped out of the room. She stumbled into the bathroom, hazy memories of last night playing in her mind. Looking in the mirror, she saw the bruises. It was most definitely not a dream.

She took her time showering and dressing, not knowing what was waiting for her outside those doors. A loud banging from the other room caused her to jump in fear. "Hurry up!" came the yell from the security officer. Sighing, Sarah opened the door and left the room.

"About time," grumbled the officer. Ensign Miller just stared at him. "Let's go," he said, pointing his phaser at her. Sarah swallowed and walked out of the quarters.

They walked in silence until they got to Engineering. Sarah kept her head down, afraid someone would notice the bruise on her cheek. Why she was afraid, she didn't know.

Sarah crossed her arms and looked around when they got to Engineering. The place looked exactly as it did on her Enterprise.

She jerked her head up at the sound of grumbling. "Back off," growled Reed as he stomped into the room. He glowered at the guard who was grinning behind him.

Relief spread over her body when she saw Malcolm. He was alive! She had been so scared that they had hurt him, and left her alone on this horrible ship. She stopped herself from running over to him. He turned and saw her, but didn't smile. It was then that that relief quickly turned to anxiety. She covered her face in embarrassment.

Malcolm rushed over to her. "God, Sarah, what happened to you?" He raised his hand to her face, but she brushed it away.

"It's nothing," she said quietly, shaking her head. "I'm fine."

Lieutenant Reed frowned at the people around him. He stepped closer and looked into her eyes. "Did someone here do this to you? Tell me who it was!" He was obviously very angry.

Sarah licked her lips, but couldn't find an answer. They were quickly interrupted by Commander Tucker.

"Okay you two," he said as he approached. "It's time to get put to good use." He stopped talking when he saw Sarah. "Well, well, what happened here?" he asked, smirking, as he brought his hand up to her face. She didn't even bother pulling away.

"Don't touch her," said Malcolm, posturing.

Tucker nodded to the guard behind Malcolm. He immediately grabbed him and held him back. Trip turned to Sarah and brushed her hair behind her ear. "Looks like you were put to pretty good use, already," he said, winking. "My guess is Captain Archer. Am I right?" he asked, looking at her in amusement.

Sarah kept her eyes pinned to the ground. She swallowed when Trip dropped his hand from her face and laughed. "Well, I'll make sure to keep my hands off his property," he said, grabbing a couple of instruments from a nearby tray.

He handed one to Sarah. She took it, reluctantly. "You two are going to do some cleaning in the plasma conduits," he said, handing the other instrument to Reed. The Lieutenant took it, grabbing it out of the Commander's hands in anger. Trip grinned. "It'll get a little dirty down there. But I'm sure you'll manage."

He nodded to the security officers and walked away. Malcolm looked at Sarah sympathetically as they were led to the conduits. Sarah felt too weak to look him in the eye.

*

Sarah scrubbed the conduit in silence, very aware that Malcolm kept looking at her. She knew she should tell him what happened, but she couldn't bring herself to say the words.

Malcolm's quiet words broke the tension. "Did he do more than just hit you, Sarah?"

Sarah stopped cleaning, tears forming in her eyes. "I'd rather not talk about it," she managed to choke out.

Reed sighed. "We have to get out of this place." He stopped cleaning and look down the tube. The security guards weren't taking their eyes off of them. "Won't be easy."

Sarah wiped the tears from her eyes, trying not to draw attention to herself. Malcolm saw, but allowed her the privacy.

"Well," said Reed, bored with talking to himself, "All we can for now is wait, I guess." He got back to cleaning, just to get his mind off of all their problems.

Sarah chanced a look at Malcolm. She felt bad for not telling him what he wanted to know, but she couldn't face it just yet. She needed time.

She absently rubbed her arm and got back to work.

*

It was hours before they were let out of the conduit. Reed stretched and wiped the soot off his hands. Looking up at Commander Tucker, he frowned. "I want to talk to your Captain," he said, adament about finding a way off this vessel.

"He's busy," said Trip, cleary not in a good mood. "Take them back to their quarters," he said to the guards. Mal Malcolm clenched his jaw as the phasers came out again. "Come on, Sarah," he said, walking away from Engineering.

"I want you to arm yourself," he whispered as they walked down the hall. "Just in case he comes again tonight."

Sarah pulled her arms around her body. "I don't know if I can do that, Malcolm."

His eyes widened. "You have to protect yourself."

She shook her head. "What happens then? We're outnumbered." Her eyes began to water again, and she rubbed at her forehead. "I can't believe this is happening."

Malcolm liked his lips and rested his hand on her shoulder. "We'll get through this. I promise you."

Sarah smiled at his comfort. "I know," she whispered.

They rounded a corner near their quarters. Sarah stopped when she saw someone waiting for them.

Malcolm frowned at Sarah's worried face and looked upwards. He tried to move forward quickly, but Sarah's hand on his arm stopped him.

"Hello, Sarah," said Captain Archer, stepping up to the group. "How are you feeling? Headache?" He pinched her chin appreciatively.

"Don't touch her, you bastard," growled Reed. He immediately felt a phaser on his back.

Archer laughed and took Sarah's arm. "We have business to discuss," he said, boasting at Reed. "Have a good evening."

He roughly pulled her away and led her down the hall. Sarah looked back at Malcolm, pleading with her eyes for him not to do anything stupid. Reed swallowed all his instincts to fight back and allowed himself to be led into his quarters.
