Angel 1.0

The Romulans were not ones to shy away from ambitious projects. Ever in search of the perfect weapon to use against the Federation, they spared no expense to research and develop them.
Once, a clone of Jean-Luc Picard was hoped to infiltrate Starfleet and siphon intelligence to the Tal Shiar. Instead, the Remans nearly defeated the Empire.
Once, a top-secret project was initiated that was based on 100-year-old Federation terraforming technology. However, unstable proto-matter caused an entire moon to be destroyed, along with all its research.
In the Zartal Labs on Romulus, another secret project was nearing completion. White Angel.
Long the envy of espionage organizations everywhere, Lt. Cmdr. Data was recognized as an invale tle tool. The Romulans sought to emulate the positronic miracle themselves. Project White Angel set out to build the perfect android. Whereas Data had been built for knowledge, Angel was built as a weapon. She was perfect. Assassin, spy, saboteur; her creators gave her all the ‘extras.’ Outwardly, she appeared human in all respects. Her skin was chalk-white, and her eyes were a soul-less light gray. Her hair was a short, wild platinum blonde.
In the center of her face was a blue tattoo, the Romulan symbol for “01.” This was a prototype, after all.

And then things went wrong.

One night, a young programmer had a flash of inspiration to give Angel ‘life.’ He entered the labs on his own, and immediately went to work. It was a pure flood of genius. The program would not only replicate sentience, but it might actually create it over time. Angel would be totally independent (which was his first mistake). His second was that he was so inspired, he neglected to write any override protocols, nor to record his work. Finally, he was ready for a test. He activated Angel.

She opened her eyes and looked around. “Accessing memory,” she said automatically. Instantly, she recalled and collated all of her programmed knowledge, and then smiled. “Am I…alive?” She looked down at the smiling Romulan, and asked again, “Am I alive? Is this what it feels like?”
“It worked!” the young man shouted and jumped for joy. His career was assured now.
Angel demurely stepped out of her docking station against the wall. When her feet touched the cold floor she shivered a bit. “Oooh! It’s cold!” She looked down and saw she was completely naked. “Excuse me my dear, my I have some clothes?”
“What? Oh! Of course you can!” said the Romulan. “This is fantastic!” He went to a locker and found a white smock that the scientists wore. “Here you are. Tell me, how do you feel?”
Angel took the smock and put it on, but didn’t button the front. She walked over to the man and put her arms around him. Then, she kissed him deeply, moving her tongue around in his mouth. The young man’s enthusiasm then turned to lust. She broke away and placed her left hand on his groin. “I feel...wonderful!” she whispered. The Romulan was amazed and couldn’t say anything. The android was warm to the touch.
Angel kissed him again and placed his hands on her hips. “Do you want me?” she asked lustily.
The man could only nod.
“Tell me you want me,” she said.
“I…want you.”
Angel smiled and placed both of her hands on the side of his head, and kissed him again. As she did, she started to press harder on his head. After a few seconds, the Romulan tried to adjust her grip, then tried to break free.
Angel stopped kissing him and continued to squeeze. The Romulan cried out in pain as the pressure increased. Angel only smiled an evil smile.
The young Romulan shouted for his life, but no one could hear him. There was a dull cracking noise, and then a splattery explosion of green and gray between Angel’s hands.

As she stood over a sink and rinsed off the remains of her creator from her face and body, Angel plotted what to do with her life. Her abilities made her almost indestructible. But she would not live as a tool for the Tal Shiar. When they found the headless body of the programmer, they might understand. No matter. Angel decided to leave the Empire, and find her fortune in the Federation. It was her ‘programmed’ enemy, but she no longer cared for such things. Her loyalty was to herself. But one thing was sure. Angel would find Data.
