Ehoh: I thought I was addressing specific questions but fair enough.

To MCP: My overall opinion of the story alone is thoroughly on record and remains unchanged. I love it!

I'm looking forward to seeing Chuck and Sarah's next encounter. And wondering how much time will transpire before it happens. And what events will transpire before it happens. And exactly how the dynamic will change based on this most recent chapter.

Fantastic story. I'm enjoying the complicated dynamic of the FB premise when it isn't exactly what one of them (or even both?) really wants...

anonnn: Excellent point on the "unreliable narrator" element. I hadn't considered it from that perspective because she's not exactly lying to us. But yet she is because she's lying to herself.

anon: I never gave the asset/handler rules much power except for: don't get caught!

I think Sarah was just emotionally immature(?) and didn't know how to handle those feelings. Much less how to hide them if she admitted them. Only then did the rules become a secondary problem because she'd be removed if they were discovered. I've always seen her as emotionally damaged (just not necessarily because of Bryce).

I am consistently in love with this story. I've reread through it at least four times. Really. Because there's so much more than sex. And the sex that you've written is extremely hot. I've seen people say they want it harder and less vanilla but I think your sex scenes are perfect. But besides the sex, you have these characters down so well. In so many ways, they're a lot like Chuck and Sarah in the show, and in some ways they're not. But with AUs that happens. They're fleshed out. And I love also this new plot development. I cannot wait to see what this brings. They've actually had a fight, like a real couple, and I wonder if either of them realizes that, especially Sarah. Who has been working hard to keep things unemotional and then woops a fight. Like real couples do. She's obviously going to be broken up about it, because I think differently from some of the other reviewers. Sarah does care a whole lot about Chuck, maybe not love yet, or maybe it is and she's so far out of touch with her own emotions that she doesn't see it you know? So fighting with Chuck and maybe there being a separation for a bit (I assume you are doing this) will make her take a step back and reevaluate and stuff.

The sex at the beginning though. Oh my God. I don't know how people could think this wasn't totally about Chuck for Sarah. She even asked him what he wanted. She woke him up with a blow job. Maybe after this things will be sorted out, or maybe not. All I know is I am really excited to see where you take us, More Charah Please. Thank you for writing the best fic on the entire web!

Pretty interesting. I wouldn't mind if the future chapters focused less on the sex and more on everything else.

I hope Chuck actually decides to end this fuck buddy thing with Sarah, clearly they're not on the same page at the moment and he's only going to get more hurt if he continues with it. Maybe it would be a wake up call for Sarah and force her to do some introspection. Whatever happens, I can't see them going back to where they were, not after the talk they had here. If it leads to a (temporary, I assume) break up, then so be it, much healthier that way.

It's a pretty decent chapter but you've written yourself into a corner here. This is the point where it is 100% clear that they want different things. That means their fuck buddy relationship is over, it's not going to work anymore. What happened at the end is the end of their physical relationship if you want to keep it realistic.

Sarah is being hypocritically because we see her internal thoughts even if she is pretty cold and distant to Chuck everytime there is feelings or emotions involved, yet we know different. Either way, I wouldn't buy them having sex now.

It's too complicated for what their relationship is, you should have them move on to other people at this point. Maybe that will open Sarah's eyes to what she wants, but Chuck shouldn't be having sex with her anymore

Good chapter, I hope you realize that what happened at the end is the end of their relationship though. They can't have sex with what was said at the end there, not until they are in a relationship properly.

Any explanation in trying to explain why Chuck is fucking her after this, makes no sense to me at all

I'm so not seeing why this PORN STORY has to accept this as the end of their relationship. It didn't start out as some sweet, lovey dovey conventional thing. They are fuck buddies with emotions now getting involved. (Chuck hasn't exactly been forthcoming about the fact that he's been hoping for more to develop all along either.)

If I were Chuck I'd be devastated. Totally devastated. But I'm ABSOLUTELY answering that next call. Hell, I'd make the next call! Either way fuck the shit out of her (like she WANTS) and see if she says what he obviously knows is lurking behind her insecurities. It will sting (mostly afterward) and he'll have to be cautious about keeping his expectations in check but I would NOT give up wild monkey sex with that woman! Even if that's all it was. Not cold turkey at least.

What's the sense of putting your foot down and demanding something she (says she) doesn't want when you don't have anything better on the horizon?

He should absolutely date others. As (and if) they come along. There's NEVER been a commitment there other than in his own head. But that doesn't mean he should stop sleeping with Sarah unless that other (not yet happening) relationship becomes serious.

It's dating. (With sex)

To some people, sex implies that the sexual relationship has progressed to the point that you should end the other one(s) but that is NOT a rule of any kind. Now since it's Chuck, if he had sex with the OTHER girl that might mean it's time to end things with Sarah. But if Sarah is just a fuck buddy...

Where it risks getting sticky is if Sarah "dates" someone else. That can't really logically happen. She shouldn't "date" anyone because that's exactly what she's avoiding with Chuck. It would make her a complete hypocrite and Chuck feel like HE was the issue not general relationship issues. (Although I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been through this: helping the person realize their true issues but not the "clean slate" they decide to fix them with. It happens.)

If she screws someone else (maybe to try (and fail) to prove to herself that sex is all it is) I don't think Chuck could handle that. At least not on an ongoing basis. "Shared custody of a booty call" as it were. Or bumping into the other guy carrying his pants or something. But what if Chuck doesn't know?... it could force Sarah to face the truth but it would hurt to read. (And she'll have to tell him later. She's so messed up.)

I suspect Ellie will throw a complicating factor of some kind out there soon. It won't come through Chuck at this stage. But all she has to do is bump into Sarah socially...

The other way Sarah could realize what she really wants is if Chuck DOES start treating her like just a fuck buddy. No small talk. No sharing. Just fucking.

It's not quite as bad as it sounds (even though still unfair to Chuck but even he admits he ALREADY agreed to this from the start) because Sarah knows he cares and she wants to move forward she just doesn't know how. But as it gets even more intense because of what he has to show instead of say she'll go from knowing he cares to wondering if he cares to hoping. And wondering if he is starting to see her as just a fuck buddy. It could be really good and in MCP's hands I know it would be.

If Sarah wants to face her BS, she needs to woman up, bring it up and explain herself. He will be patient about it if she's honest.

If she wants to try to make up for it by being even wilder in the sack, that won't help the situation but I'd be happy to let her put forth the extra effort.

And if she just wants to fuck, why not?!

I don't think that's REALLY the case but really... Why the hell not?

Even if it were a conventional relationship and that last scene was a "breakup fight", it's really not much different than an extended period of not being able to resist the breakup sex.

So there's still TONS of ways to have plenty of emotional development and story AND hot sex without just saying its "unsalvageable" so: THE END.

And though those options aren't what some of us would prefer to do they're NOT entirely unbelievable. I trust the author. It's been perfect so far.

If they do "separate" the real question in my mind is whether Carina is going to ask if she can have a turn now that Sarah is done with him... :)

(Would Carina do that to force Sarah's hand? I think you all know the answer...)

(Phew, see how much I love this story? :) Can't wait to see what direction you take this!)

I'm sorry PFE but you're simply wrong.

"I'm so not seeing why this PORN STORY has to accept this as the end of their relationship. "

Because MoreCharahPlease as included an actual plot in his/her story and you can't just turn it off and on when you want and expect people to still buy into it?

"It will sting (mostly afterward) and he'll have to be cautious about keeping his expectations in check but I would NOT give up wild monkey sex with that woman! Even if that's all it was. Not cold turkey at least."

That won't happen, he isn't a robot, the emotions won't just turn off. There will be awkwardness every time they sleep together now. There's no getting past it.

" What's the sense of putting your foot down and demanding something she (says she) doesn't want when you don't have anything better on the horizon?"

It's not about putting his foot down, it's about protecting himself because he KNOWS how he feels. It isn't just sex to him anymore, he should not be fucking her while she feels the way she does. It only leads to his heart being broken. It has nothing to do with him having sex 'on tap'

"Now since it's Chuck, if he had sex with the OTHER girl that might mean it's time to end things with Sarah. But if Sarah is just a fuck buddy..."

But this chapter shows that TO CHUCK she isn't just a fuck buddy, you're missing the point.

" The other way Sarah could realize what she really wants is if Chuck DOES start treating her like just a fuck buddy. No small talk. No sharing. Just fucking."

That would work in terms of opening Sarah's eyes but it still doesn't explain why Chuck is fucking her anymore after this conversation.

" So there's still TONS of ways to have plenty of emotional development and story AND hot sex without just saying its "unsalvageable" so: THE END."

Nobody has said the story isn't salvageable, we said there's no realistic way to explain why Chuck is still having sex with this woman. That's the part that has to end until things change.

You're basically suggesting that Chuck should just get over his feelings because he isn't getting sex from anywhere else. The problem is that Chuck has been shown to be an emotional guy, he clearly has feelings for this woman, he understands she doesn't want that at all, so he wouldn't continue with it.

Once again, nobody is saying it hasn't been perfect, but the line in the sand has now been drawn. Chuck wouldn't realistically sleep with Sarah after this chapter. It's just a fact.

Wonderful as always! I do think Chuck crossed a line but I think it's also the kind of thing I would expect Chuck to do (especially in early seasons) - you did right there. Even if they were dating - you call the police, there's a thousand and one reasons she wouldn't/couldn't pick up (Let alone do anything about it) while she's working or even if she's not!

Ehoh, I'm not "wrong". Nor did I say anyone else was. We just disagree.
Guess we'll see. Ta.

Also, these points: "...while she feels the way she does...TO CHUCK she isn't just a fuck buddy...he understands she doesn't want that at all..."

I can see why you interpret it that way.

But...subtext.

I think: a) What she says she feels/wants is NOT what she really feels/wants. b) To Sarah he's not just a fuck buddy either but she hasn't admitted it to herself. And c) Chuck shows clearly in this chapter that what he "understands" is that she's hiding and is scared.

I guess I'm just seeing more to Sarah's feelings (and Chuck's perceptions of them), despite what she is saying out loud.

She doth protest too much.

My two cents. Worth less than that.
