I don't get some of the comments. Isn't this exactly Sarah from early S4? She was afraid of commitment. When she finally agreed to have the relationship discussion, she admitted that she was scared. She said she needed to go very slow. But did she go slow? The very next week she told him (while she thought that he was sleeping) that if he proposed, she'd say yes. The job of a fanfic writer is to put a spin on the characters, but still leave them recognizable. So, MCP, I think you have them brilliantly 100% nailed. Anyone who has a problem with this situation, has a problem with the show that it's based upon. Can't wait to see Sarah's heart melt.

I consider this to be quite possibly the best story I've read on this site. I look forward to reading more. BTW, one thing I do find myself thinking is that just maybe what Sarah ought to realize is that it seems fairly likely that to truly fix herself she just might need some professional help as a guide. The stuff deep in her history that you've hinted at seems like it.

I really dont think this is as a huge step as you are making it out to be. No promises/rules/pressure goes against that for starters and it is also unrealistic. Them wanting different things (which they do) is never going to work in practice, Chuck is gonna keep trying to force the emotions and get his heart broken. They shouldnt be sleeping together anymore, it just doesnt make sense.

Well, they ARE sleeping together still. And it makes sense to me. She readily admitted she has feelings for him. And he understands there's a fear there that's making it difficult for her to commit. I am interested to find out more about what happened to her. I kept picking up on the hints about something with her parents. And going into a relationship with Bryce when she wasn't ready probably doomed their romance before it even started. Also, it seems like they'll actually be going out together, into public, dating. Even if they aren't labeling it dating. So that is a pretty big step for Sarah. Keep going, MCP. I love this story! Can't wait to see what happens with Fulcrum. Really interested in that, and also in the steps they're taking together in the relationship! (Also the sex!!!!)

Loved the latest chapter. Think you had Sarah acting right, prepared to give chuck a chance but not yet brave enough to put a label to it. It's nice that chuck at least gets a chance o prove to her that he's different from other guys, and that dating him will be a good thing. Look forward to the next chapter.

Loved parts of it and hated others. Don't like that Chuck went over there and i also didnt like how harsh sarah was being. I really felt that Chuck needed to find someone else and let Sarah deal with that on her own. You mention how the both of them now agreed to be honest but sarah still isn't being it to Chuck. I guess overall I've stopped shipping the two of them in this story. I like your writing style and i like how you write their 'friendship' but i dont think they belong together at all. At the end of the day they want completely different things. Their conversation was good in many ways but it was too much about Sarah and her feelings and not about Chuck. He can't live on her schedule, he's just gonna get his heartbroken.

Thank you! I have been missing you! So yes no labels, but wow that really is a big step for them. I have to say I am still enjoying this story so much. I can't wait until the next chapter!

I really enjoyed your versions of the "do you love me?" scene a "no secrets, no lies" :)

Nice chapter. In the show I've always thought that Sarah didn't feel worthy of being loved. One of the most haunting images from the show was in Chuck vs Sarah when she is crying on the mission log. "I'm in love with Chuck Bartowski and I don't know what to do about it." I feel some of that same desperation here. Thanks for writing. I hope things start going better for you in RL.
