lol, they've been reshowing this on Gold lately. Well, not this, clearly. That would be impermissible in Britain, even today, more's the pity. But I can definitely imagine Habbib getting up to this kind of caper after that epidsode. Any chance of an encore involving the two firefighters and Kevin? With him protesting, obviously... Habbib could even lure him in...

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed Maggie's rejection of the traditions in this tale. LOL @ the fire hoses. I giggled out loud, really, I did. But, as you've already guessed, I've got a very weird, underdeveloped sense of humor.
Well done with filling in enough details so that even if the reader, like me, has no clue what the background for the fandom is, the story is still enjoyable!

Bucking the trend! I like the idea, and it's something so many of us do! Hellz bellz, I know I did!
I did notice a few things - You seem to set up that she's muslim and from a middle eastern culture, but then say Asian later on? Also you have a word missing, "and Maggie was from a virgin anyway." I think there is a far missing.

Congratulations to Maggie! Plus it seems she, Paul and Mick have started at least one better tradition to replace it. I'm impressed that you fit in so much about Pakistani traditions as you highlighted Maggie's rejections of each yet still had time for some good explicit action. It also filled in enough about Maggie's character so I could relate to her almost angry rebelliousness without knowing anything about the series.
It never occurred to me before, but the way they teased and laughed on the way to Paul's seems like a kind of foreplay in itself. (Okay, anyone can call me "Captain DUH" if I'm just late to the game on that. ;) )
For typos, there's just one missing word in "and Maggie was from a virgin anyway" — but fortunately there's some breathing room for the flashfic limit. Seriously, for something created on the fly in response to a challenge, only one error is really good. (I'm dreading going over mine again.)
By the way, I wouldn't have been able to resist a "hose" pun either. :)
