The nearly tangible atmosphere throughout the piece is amazing, and the beautiful ending is just bittersweet. The characterization is captivating and will definitely appeal to anyone who has ever explored their own darker feelings in an exercise of masochism. This fic is a masterpiece of unspoken emotions, and while the actions are played out well, it's their impact that leaves the reader speechless.
