I really liked this story, and I hope to see many more from you. However, there was one irregularity I wanted to bring to your attention:

"He was seated directly behind her, and he smiled. (...) She had been trying to concentrate on anything else since she had seen him take the seat directly in front of her while they were pre-boarding."

You might want to go back and fix that. Keep on writing!
