Great chapter! It was definitely worth the wait. I'm kinda annoyed at Lorelai for not being as open as she could be, but that's just me; her reaction was very much in character, and at least she's making the attempt for Rory's sake. I admit I'm very curious to see how the lovely couple will get around her rules and vigilance if they decide to take things to the next level, hopefully soon. :) While they could just wait until going to college and living together, that's sort of the easy way out, since then Lorelai could put herself in denial about them having an adult relationship, as we know she likes to do. Besides, as close as they got in this chapter, I don't think their willpower would last that long. ;)

Gosh what a great story. I can't even imagine how long each chapter takes, but the final product is worth it. This story is the best thing here on AFF.net, by a mile. The dialogue is better than the actual show, and the characterizations are dead-on. Bravo. I derive great pleasure from reading the chapters just for the snappy dialogue, much less the excellent written angst and pent-up feelings. Bravo!

Excellent work. Despite a couple setbacks, that was a great first date for the girls. I love that they've become so intimate and comfortable with each other. Some people might say they're moving too fast (both other readers and characters in the story if they were to find out). But the way you've written this tale, it's clear that Rory and Paris truly love each other. They share a very deep bond with each other, and I'm glad to see them exploring it further, physically and emotionally.
I'm starting to get annoyed with Lorelai, though. Rory hasn't even come clean about the relationship and already her mother is putting Paris down. Yes, Paris can an intense person even when she's content and relaxed. I also think she can be a little too intellectual and serious at times, and there is such a thing (and I say this being a 'nerd' myself). And she did treat Rory pretty badly on many occasions. However, Lorelai has to see that she's changing. She's opening up from her shell and bonding with Rory in a way no one else has before. She deserves a chance to prove herself. If she can't even accept Paris as a friend, how will she accept her as Rory's girlfriend? There's already going to be a lot of disapproving folks: Richard and Emily, a lot of the Chilton brood, Taylor, Dean, and even Jess might be pissed now that he lost his shot at Rory.
Rory and Paris are going to need all the support they can get. In Paris' case, she has nobody except for the Gilmore girls and her father, who isn't there to provide a stable home thanks to her witch of a mother. As for her 'friends', one's almost as twisted as Summer, and the other isn't brave enough to stand up for herself. No matter what happens, she's going to need Lorelai. As for Lorelai, she also has to realize that she can't keep Rory an innocent little girl forever. She's so terrified that Rory will turn out like her that she almost avoids the topic of sex altogether. Unless of course, it concerns her, in which case, it's perfectly alright to have a fling with her ex (Max and Christopher) or make dirty jokes about her and Luke. But throw in the possibility of Rory in any type of sexual situation, and start the Lorelai Gilmore panic alarm, ladies and gentlemen.
Of course, the thing here is that Rory being a lesbian negates any chance of her getting pregnant, and having someone as smart and competitive as Paris will ensure that Rory doesn't get discouraged from her college-bound oath. Not to mention, Paris just plain makes her happy, in a way that Dean or Jess never could. There's a great bright side to be found in the situation, if Lorelai is just willing to see it.

Great fic. One of the very best on the net, no question. It's so meticulous and detailed it's fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Great job on the latest chapter! I'd say the months it took you to write were well worth it. Ignore the person who said it's tedious and poorly written. Characters as interesting and complex as Paris and Rory deserve a good amount of character development. If you ask me, your story's written much better than a lot of the lame Rory/Jess or Rory/Tristan stories that are plentiful at sites like fanfiction.net. Not to say that there aren't great stories with those pairings, because there are, but there are also a lot that just throw the characters together with little thought to build up and exploring their personalities and struggles. You don't do that and it gives your fanfic something that a lot of the ones with 'normal' pairings don't.
I really look forward to the next chapter, and I hope you do complete this story eventually. There are very few Rory/Paris fanfics as it is, and yours is the only one I've seen that has any chance of ever being completed. It's disappointing, considering what a great pair the two girls make. If you ask me, they have a better connection on the show than Rory ever did with either Dean or Jess. They have great chemistry, and it makes me wonder how different their relationship would play out if our society were one that accepted same-sex couples as being no different than heterosexual couples. In any case, keep the great work up.

Hooray! An update!
I enjoy this story greatly, and this chapter lives up to the rest of it quite well. I can't help but wonder how this alternate storyline will tie in the the original one...Paris seems a lot calmer now. Maybe she won't blow that harvard interview?
Shouldn't this chapter have been called, "And then Paris kissed me"?
Keep writing. Or I shall unleash the mimes. Don't make me do that. It's an incredible hassle getting them back into the jar afterwards.
